CBD

While most people assume CBD oil does not contain THC, the truth is different. CBD oil made from the whole hemp plant still contains trace amounts of THC. This oil is often referred to as ‘full spectrum’, and in addition to high levels of CBD, it also contains other cannabinoids, including THC. However, the THC content should not exceed 0.2% for the product to be legally sold. Although this small amount of THC is usually not enough to feel any psychoactive effects, it is still present in the system. Are you particularly sensitive to THC or are you regularly tested for drugs?

As more and more people are interested in the non-THC cannabidiol, CBD crystals have been created. In this post, we’ll explain everything you need to know about crystals and how to dose and take them.

What are CBD crystals?

CBD crystals are a very pure, concentrated form of cannabidiol, one of the most abundant cannabinoids found in cannabis. CBD Crystals is a pure, crystalline powder that contains up to 99.6% pure CBD. The advantage of crystals, which will certainly be appreciated by athletes or professional drivers, is the lack of THC, the traces of which are removed. Military service members, police officers, paramedics, and anyone who cannot fail a drug test under any circumstances, but still wants to take CBD, can use CBD crystals every day without fear of THC being present in their body.

How are CBD crystals made?

CBD crystals are made using a more detailed extraction process. The first step is to obtain the hemp extract. The extraction of CBD isolate thus begins just like our other extraction processes used to make all other CBD products.

After the initial extraction, the concentrated CBD undergoes a purification process. This process filters all other plant materials from the CBD extract, such as waxes and chlorophyll, resulting in a pure form of isolated CBD crystals. After CBD has been extracted and filtered out, our extracted oil goes through the so-called “Wintering”. The wintering process will further remove any traces of waxes and other plant materials that were still present after filtration. After this filtration, a fine white powder with 99% CBD purity remains.

How to use CBD crystals?

CBD crystals are in fact one of the most versatile ways to use CBD. Typically, a gram of crystals contains over 990 milligrams of CBD, which enables precise dosing. CBD crystals have neither taste nor smell and can be used in many ways.

CBD crystals can be taken in the same way as CBD oil drops – under the tongue. As with CBD oil, hold the crystals under your tongue for 60 seconds. The crystals will dissolve and CBD will enter the bloodstream through the mucous membranes.

You can also use CBD crystals in food preparation. You can sprinkle a mini sandwich, add to drinks and cocktails or dressing. You can even cook them. However, be sure to keep the cooking temperature below 180 degrees Celsius. CBD may lose its potency at higher temperatures.

A few words about CBG

Not only CBD can be in the form of crystals. Another cannabinoid found in this form is CBG – cannabigerol. It is one of the most important cannabinoids in existence. Why? Cannabigerol is considered by many to be the ‘mother cannabinoid’ of the rest of the substance. The properties of CBG crystals are yet to be discovered, but research already suggests its potential as a muscle relaxant, analgesic, antidepressant or antifungal.
